CplxCalPro
General purpose calculator for the palm platform

CplxCalPro is not necessarily designed to just balance your checkbook, you could easily do so. CplxCalPro allows you to perform the most advanced calculations and function graphing without any programming. Instead of retyping the same equations with just a few different values you can create a little program. The manual contains a step-by-step tutorial with programming examples. No programming experience needed.

This easy to program GRAPHICAL calculator has more than 175 built in functions, 30 built-in constants and eight different display formats.

Are you tired of those so called programmable calculators that just look nice ??

Some of the features:

  • Financial functions
  • Statistical functions
  • Linear regresssion
  • FFT (fourier transforms)
  • Fully supported clipboard
  • Auto-scaling of the graphs
  • Equation solver worksheet
  • Fully reconfigure the keyboard
  • Complex numbers and functions
  • Build-in root finding functions
  • Build-in, memopad like, database
  • Build-in function to calculate integrals
  • Build-in functions to calculate first and second derivatives
  • Plot functions without any programming
  • Solve equations for variables

What people say about CplxCalPro

I think it's an excellent calculator -- that's why I bought it, and I do honestly think it has many useful features for computer scientists and computer science students: I really like the hex and binary conversions, as well as the bit operations. Plus, many of the built-in functions are directly applicable to stuff I do all the time -- gcd(), floor(), ceil(), probability and combinatorics, etc. It's also much more easily programmable than my HP 48, but just as powerful.

**********Excelent software, really good. It has all in one, complex numbers, graphs and powerful script interpreter. Write your own scripts just by seeing other scripts and/or manual(excelent too). As said on other comment: is like having a HP48 in your palm.

For quite a while I've been looking for a calculator. My ideal would be something like handheld Mathcad or Matlab for elecrical engineering applications involving matrices, complex numbers, and graphing. I bought a top of the line brand name RPN calculator that mostly gathered dust because it was bulky and never at hand when I needed it. Recently, I bought a digital phone that runs the Palm OS. Looking for a scientific calulator, I found CplxCalPro and MtrxCal. These two applications provide as much power and programability as I need in a portable platform for about one-fourth the price of a good programmable calculator. Programs are stored under user defined file names in an easy to understand language. The programs are well documented in the instruction manuals and the calculators are supplied with numerous examples. Keybord configurations are user-programmable (and selectable) in a text file. Together, these two calculators would serve an undergraduate, graduate, or practicing engineer, easily replacing a programmable graphing calculator. The developer is very responsive to questions and bug fixes and will provide a free registration for any bug you find. The best part is that the calculators are always at hand and available on the Palm, along with all your programs. I would give these programs an "A" for both power and value.

E X C E L L E N T !!!! I've reviewed and purchased many calculators for the palm and this is *BY FAR* the best palm calculator that I have ever seen. It has more features than even the most advanced user will ever use. It displays and processes easy to extremely complex equations. I'm not a programmer, but have had a very easy time with reading and understanding the documentation - I've even written a number of programs (Financial Pack and UPC Calculator) which I use almost every day. On top of an outstanding application, the author (Evert) is an extremely responsive developer, even though this is not his day job. It makes perfect sense to me that to get quality, you have to pay for it. Having now had the benefit of over a year of experience with Evert and CplxCalpro, my advice is that this application is well worth the cost! Don't be confused by negative comments regarding this program - it's well written, well documented, well supported and well worth the cost! Try it out and you will see what I mean.

This is simply an incredible program! If you used a calculator just to balance your check book you don't need this although you can still use it... However, if you ever had a need to program a calculator or write a single line of code check this one out. If you use Matlab or Mathematica on your desktop you must have this! Words can't do justice. It is easy and fun to program and the programs can be quite sophisticated. I even did fft with it! I think it is worth every penny and there is nothing in the market even comes close. I have no affiliation with the company
