Creating CplxCalPro user programs

The best tips for creating your own programs:

  1. Look at the demo programs and the user programs first.
  2. Select the program which is the closed to what you would like your program to do.
  3. Copy and paste that program into a new program and change the name of the program.
  4. Now edit the program to what you would like it to do.

Transferring text program files from the PC to your palm pilot:

  1. Programs can be created on your PC with any text editor.

  2. Use a converter program, like MakeDocW for windows, to convert a normal text file to an prc file. Make sure the the compression mode is turned of. Hotsync the prc file to your palm pilot. Put an extra black line at the end of the text file to make sure the last line will be converted properly.

I used the following settings in MakeDocW.

  3. Now select [Prog.][Copy program] on your palmpilot to add the prc program file to the CplxCalPro database.

Transferring text program files from your palm pilot to the PC:

  1. Load the program you want to transfer. The program appears on the main screen on the status line after a program is loaded.
  2. Select [Prog.][Create text program] on your palmpilot to create a text file.
  3. Hotsync and text file will be stored on your PC. The name of the file on your PC will be the program name plus the PDB extension.

We also use DocReader for windows to look at the programs on my PC after they where copied.
