| Which
calculator is right for you? |
|
-
If
you only want to use a calculator for some basic
calculations on your palm device CplxCal might
be the right choice for you. However keep in mind
that CplxCal is just a basic calculator that supports
complex number and small user programs but is
limited.
-
If
you like to graph functions, write advanced user
program on you palm and don't use a windows platform
or a PocketPC CplxCalPro might be the right choice
for you. CplxCalPro was designed for a palm device
only.
-
If
you like to use units in your calculations PDAcalc
units is the right choice for you. This calculator
is far more powerful than the conversion programs
you might be thinking of. PDAcalc units will automatically
convert the units for you. For example 110V *
16A will automatically be converted to 1760W.
Multiplying 45in * 2m will automatically be converted
to an area unit.
-
If
you like to use matrices or like to learn how
to use them and don't use a windows platform MtrxCal
might be the right choice for you. . MtrxCal was
designed for a palm device only. When you learn
how to use matrices you will notice how easy it
is to perform far more complicated calculations
with only a fraction of the commands needed with
a none matrix calculator.
-
If
you like to use the same calculator, and same
user programs, on your palm and windows platform
or a PocketPC and windows platform one or more
PDAcalc modules is the right choice for you. Using
PDAcalc you can write and test your script/user
programs on a windows platform using a 'normal'
keyboard and synchronize your scripts with your
palm device or PocketPC.
-
If
you are familiar with the high end mathematical
programs like SciLab, Octave, Matlab etc. PDAcalc
matrix is the right choice for you. PDAcalc matrix
allows you to perform advanced matrix calculations
including eigenvalues, decompisitions - Singular
Value - QR - LU, Cholesky factorization
etc. PDAcalc matrix takes calculations on a PDA
far beyond what you thought possible.
